RAINBOW LOOMS Y MILAGROS | 11.11.19

one of the most fun, and most sacred weeks of my mission! Yippee! I am a happy hermana here in Garland, and I feel very watched over by my Heavenly Father and blessed!

Healed by Hna. Obregon
So, one of my all-time fav hermanas came and anointed my back and the soles of my feet with a series of 10+ DoTerra oils twice this week before I drifted off to sleep! What can I say my cold is almost gone now! Just left with a gnarly croupy cough. I am a HUGE advocate for my lovely Hispanic Brujita remedies

Work we must, but Lunch is Free
A great talk my friend shared with me, by Hugh Nibley, who happens to be a personal favorite. I loved the talk because it helped me examine my motives for being on a mission. I love being a missionary because I just work work work work as hard as I can and meanwhile relax and confide in the fact that I am literally in the hands of the Lord- all my needs are met through Him and His church. No stinginess, no holding back, just pure faith and realizing that we are on the same team and everything is in His hands. A cool concept for sure!! I highly recommend giving that talk a listen- perspective broadening

Interviews- a revelatory experience
What more can I say... basically I had a really special interview with the Mission President last week. I felt the presence of my Heavenly Father through the Holy Ghost so strongly. We were both in tears, and he gave me some simple powerful counsel to always return to my faith in Jesus Christ whenever trials hit, and always. So simple and so so true, his words sunk into my very soul. I needed to hear that. Truly, it is all about Jesus Christ.

A special Sunday feat. THE PRIMARY PROGRAM
Possibly the best Sunday of my mission. Miracles from heaven, certainly. Hermana Mera and I had the beautiful opportunity of attending church alongside 11 of our favorite friends we are teaching! What a huuuuuge blessing. Including 3 families
It also happened to be the primary program (when the young little kids go up in front of everyone all dressed up and give micro speeches and sing sweet songs and EVERYONE SWOONS) so like the perfect day for them to come!
I am so so happy that each of them could finally come and hopefully feel welcome. God is most certainly with us over here in Garland Cinco

Assorted entertaining bits
We met a nice joven from El Salvador who showed us her extensive rainbow loom collection!
Also ate baleadas and went thrift shopping today
Learned a lot about self reliance and time management in the class we help teach
Wrote a lot of letters
Started knitting again*tis the season*

A challenge☆☆
Start making prayerful to-do lists!!
Learned about this in my self-reliance class. There is an awesome video about it (called "The Gift of Time" on the self reliance website I think) but basically rise early in the morning and simply make a list of what you want to accomplish, people you want to visit, service ideas, etc. And then you pray and ask Heavenly father to help you identify what to focus on! Then you prioritize what is most important by number. And then go make it an amazing, productive day
Let me know how it goes:-)

That's all for today, my dear friends.
I hope this letter finds each of you happy, healthy, and growing.

Here is my address, as is has been for nearly 8 months of my mission
