Cooking up an even more agressive storm than usual. Gotta fuel the muscle I am trying to grow. Plus after almost 4 weeks of living here again I discovered that our apartment gym has a bench press (is that even the right name I am such a novice) it just looked kinda odd (yea I know I'm dull sometimes) so YA GIRL HAS BEEN DOING BACK SQUATS 4 DAYS

so many jokes and so much singing and we support each other in developing uplifting and righteous habits. Cool! 

In other news:
Had a fun exchange with Hna. Bateman! Got to explore the beautiful Casa Linda.  Learned about deep love, goat milk soap, a town called Snowflake, AZ, and how to grill brussels sprouts delicious-ly. She is rad and we are planning on ~kickin' it~ back in P-Town :-) BUt I did miss hna. Moorhead :(

We were working up in Wylie on Tuesd@Y and my comp just directed me to some random hidden trailer park and i was so confused like 
a. Where am i supposed to park ?!
b. Who r these ppl 
c. Why am i so in the dark with the people who r being taught like I'VE ALMOST BEEN HERE FOR 4 WEEKS EVEN THO IT FEELS LIKE 3 DAYS
d. Why does driving in Wylie stress me out so much people honk at me for zero reason it's worse than Draper smh 
Anyway, we ended up having a lesson with this family that wasn't able to meet with the missionaries for a very long time. My comp and her last compa had taught them once and we finally got to go back. But wow... the spirit was meeeeega strong. It was a very special lesson that i probably will never forget. 
We started off singing "Venid a Mi", taught the restoration lesson and it just flowed.... like we were both on one. Taught things in completely different ways than we had before (itstheSPIRIT), there was so much time for reflecting, they honestly did so much of the talking...
(We asked them how they would feel to see God and Jesus Christ like Joseph Smith did, this girl just goes, completely seriously, "that would be amazing. I would honestly be shook"

and by the end, we shared Moroni 10:3-5 and the spirit absolutely flooded the room. Both of the sweet hermanas teared up, and we just pointed out and explained that it was God confirming truth to them...
Learning is so simple when God is backing us up and guiding us along<3.
I am grateFUL for that experience. Stay tuned I guess... 

Also I bore my sincere testimony in church and it was such a great experience. I spoke on Elder Renlund's talk from the past General Conference ("Abound with Blessings" April 2019 General Conference, I recommend y'all read, way way good) and the activation energy required for el derramamiento de bendiciones celestiales. I absolutely felt the guidance of the Holy Ghost and felt so unified with the congregation! Cool beans! The spiiiirit. Several people asked for more info after. What a special and sacred monthly opportunity in our church, open mic sunday :-)

How SCRUMPTIOUS. I love words. 
I Love Jesus because He magnifies me, He only multiplies. It is absolutely mind bogglingly perfect and beautiful and it makes zero sense from a mortal perspective, but that is how God works. If you would have a blessing from the Lord, make the sacrifice (as my boy Hartman Rector Jr. would say:)).

Hello, such a rejuvenating and powerful week!! I am grateful for  -Hermana Huerta -the city of Garland - People from Monterrey -the fantastic members of this ward I get to be surrounded by -biiiiig skies and yummy clouds -tamales -thrift stores and learning to budget -my basket on my bike -friends - making everyday comparisons to the Gospel - the ability to run  - and much more!! Buenos dias mis amigos!! Another killer week here in Garland. Hermana Casper's mom asked if the honeymoon phase of our companionship has ended yet, NOPE still best of friends. I love my companion so much sometimes when we are separated for like a few seconds (like when she plays the hymns in sacrament meeting) I get sad because I miss her haha. i am content so many funny things happened this week. STUFF THAT I LEARNED At least as a missionary, the spirit is most of the time the same thing as your thoughts. A lot of people and missionaries talk about guidance from the spirit as being some slightly mystical, magnetic force that guides them. It's not like that, at least for me. I have seen multiple miracles this week (knocking on a door of a stranger and all 3 of us ending up in happy tears, finding a random 20 y/o who is way stoked on the gospel when we decided to knock on a completely random door, running into people at the grocery store who my companion has been ...

WEEK 2! | 8.24.18

Talofa mis amigos!!! Still doin just gr8 over here at the MTC. It is actually a very special place!!! It's like an uplifting cosmopolitan melting pot with mediocre food!!! I am in a branch with almost all international kids because we all already know English and the language we will be speaking on our missions. It has been one of my favorite parts about the MTC so far actually which I am super grateful for because I was initially kind of bummed about not being in a Spanish learning district like I was expecting to be in (basically all my classes are in English but I'll still be speaking Spanish once I get to Dallas). I'm meeting the coolest and most interesting people ever i love them a lot. There are people in my branch from Albania, Brazil, Samoa, Mexico, Colombia, Ukraine/Canada, and more. They have such cool stories and are really inspiring and amazing people. I think missionary work is so cool because these super young people are so inspiring to me!!! I've bee...
