so context for this subject line: We met an absolutely lovely woman named Estella on her porch the other day. Absolutely delightful company. She was mentioning how her son was "penoso" (really shy) and I related to her, saying that I used to be pretty shy when I was young, too. I told her: "Hermanan, no se preocupe, a lo mayoria es nada mas una etapa!" aka don't worry hermana, it's probably just a phase! at that exact moment y companion just goes "are you KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW" under her breath  haha so funny  we had a really sweet week!! Y'ALL EVERYTHING IS CHANGING I AM GETTING DOUBLED IN TRAINING AND SHIPPED OUT HERMANA RASMUSSEN IS HEADED TO MOUNT PLEASANT I am going to have a child in a brand new area it will be so fun  but I am also quite nervous because they are entrusting me with a precious brand new missionary a bittersweet day: I have truly loved serving here in Garland and will be very sad to leave this ward. also I am very much looking forward to being immersed in east Texas and everything that goes along with that (razorback hogs & other wild animals, brisket,... the rest is tbd) get ready for a wild ride I feel like my life as a missionary is 10x as dense as normal life and it is such a roller coaster sometimes jaja. I do not believe that this transfer is over!!! They are speeding up in a scary way FUN ITEMS - Mission conference on Saturday, it was extremely fun and spiritually filling experience. TAN BOBA | 2.3.2020

a really groovy (yet tricky) past 2 weeks over here in rad Rowlett, TX!!!! my new companion, Hermana Alam, is really rockin', she is teaching me to more Mexican in my humor aka teaching me how to not get offended when she brutally makes fun of me and just make fun of her back, it is a delicate art form and I intend on mastering this sassy humor of hers by the time I finish out my mission. Truly companions strengthen each other in the randomest ways. Honestly though Hermana Alam is such a light and I am so inspired by her passion for the work, and the richness and sincerity of her testimony!! I am grateful for her!! We are cruisin'! assorted highlights!!! -we ate a delicious seafood soup w veggies at a restaurant called La Fogata and Okay I LOVE MEXICAN SEAFOOD SOUP WHAT IT WAS DELICIOUS - Broke through a really hard rut!!
