buenos dias!!!

I am alive I swear!! jaja. this has been a really amazing week, and sorry for not writing group emails for many weeks, mostly that is because I love calling my mom and I forget that there are other people in my life who also may wonder what I am doing out here! Hermana Lunt and I have been having a good old fashioned time out here

HIGHLIGHTS

- we went to the temple with Luis and Andrea Medina!!!! it was so funn and special, because they were able to be baptized by their grandpa Robledo. My favorite part of the gospel is watching familes come closer together. 
- Tequiera Jones!!! She got baptized!! and we went to the temple with her, too :)
- we also got our car 100% LODGED in a SWAMP
(don't trust the computer Michael!!!!)
and it required 1 full-sized 35,000 lb dulie with 3 amazingly kind Honduranean buds and 1 MASSIVE tow truck (driven by Billy Bob) to get us outta there. good times, and our car came out w/o a scratch :)))))
- hna. lunt officially graduated training!!! woooo!!!!!!

SPIRITUAL

realized that heavenly father communicates with us in different ways, during different times of our life. even as amissionary, there are times when it feels hard to feel the influence of the spirit. my companion and I studied the topic of humility together this week and I found one of my new all-time favorite talks called "The Eternal Everyday". Humility is It is "having the quiet confidence that day by day and hour by hour we can rely on the Lord, serve Him, and achieve His purposes." there is so much power and freedom that comes as we release our own premonitions and allow ourselves to be instruments in His hands. 

A CHALLENGE

moroni 7: 13-16
                        13 "But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God.
14 Wherefore, take heed, my beloved brethren, that ye do not judge that which is evil to be of God, or that which is good and of God to be of the devil.
15 For behold, my brethren, it is given unto you to judge, that ye may know good from evil; and the way to judge is as plain, that ye may know with a perfect knowledge, as the daylight is from the dark night.
16 For behold, the Spirit of Christ is given to every man, that he may know good from evil; wherefore, I show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God."
every single person has been given the gift of discernment. This is something we can pray for; something we can develop. Sometimes we ignore this gift and make choices that hurt ourselves or others (driving into a swamp on accident),but drawing closer to Jesus Christ will allow us to heighten our discernment. 

I am thankful for the time I have had here in MT.P and will miss the laid back country livin' :(
but stoked for bike life round 2!

Hello, such a rejuvenating and powerful week!! I am grateful for  -Hermana Huerta -the city of Garland - People from Monterrey -the fantastic members of this ward I get to be surrounded by -biiiiig skies and yummy clouds -tamales -thrift stores and learning to budget -my basket on my bike -friends - making everyday comparisons to the Gospel - the ability to run  - and much more!! WILL WE SURVIVE THE ABUELITAS?!!? | 9.17.18

Buenos dias mis amigos!! Another killer week here in Garland. Hermana Casper's mom asked if the honeymoon phase of our companionship has ended yet, NOPE still best of friends. I love my companion so much sometimes when we are separated for like a few seconds (like when she plays the hymns in sacrament meeting) I get sad because I miss her haha. i am content so many funny things happened this week. STUFF THAT I LEARNED At least as a missionary, the spirit is most of the time the same thing as your thoughts. A lot of people and missionaries talk about guidance from the spirit as being some slightly mystical, magnetic force that guides them. It's not like that, at least for me. I have seen multiple miracles this week (knocking on a door of a stranger and all 3 of us ending up in happy tears, finding a random 20 y/o who is way stoked on the gospel when we decided to knock on a completely random door, running into people at the grocery store who my companion has been ...

WEEK 2! | 8.24.18

Talofa mis amigos!!! Still doin just gr8 over here at the MTC. It is actually a very special place!!! It's like an uplifting cosmopolitan melting pot with mediocre food!!! I am in a branch with almost all international kids because we all already know English and the language we will be speaking on our missions. It has been one of my favorite parts about the MTC so far actually which I am super grateful for because I was initially kind of bummed about not being in a Spanish learning district like I was expecting to be in (basically all my classes are in English but I'll still be speaking Spanish once I get to Dallas). I'm meeting the coolest and most interesting people ever i love them a lot. There are people in my branch from Albania, Brazil, Samoa, Mexico, Colombia, Ukraine/Canada, and more. They have such cool stories and are really inspiring and amazing people. I think missionary work is so cool because these super young people are so inspiring to me!!! I've bee...
