hola muy buenos dias!!

it's your honorary Texan checking in!!! we are over here on bike in the hood!  i really love it here and my companion is really cool!!! her name is Hermana Phillips and she is BUFF! she also likes to do pullups!! but on the real side, the people here are some of the most special humans I have met while on my mission. So humble, and full of love and generosity and selflessness.

FOOD
- learned how to make habichuelas con arroz from Hermana Herrera, a sweet Puerto  Riquena abuelita in the ward!!
- arroz con carne con arroz con carne con arroz con carne. No complaints here :D
- Hermana Vazquez made us this BOMB Peruvian Chicken & rice with yellow chilies. so good :)

PERRITOS
- were all inside of fences. whaaaaaat??? this is new for me.
- did get chased by 2 chihuahuas while biking though so don't worry still on my toes

SPIRITUAL
- an amazing and special general conference. I am grateful for the chance we had to hear from our modern-day prophet!!!! It made me so happy!!!
- met a sweet fam, the Esparza Fam. They are so amazing, and I love them. A little miracle that happened: we found them sitting on a bench at the park, and they were like "yo, we want to go to church, we don't know which church is true"
so we were like "hey cool, can we talk with you?" and we bonded with their amazing lil kids over the bike life & shared our testimonies with them

A CHALLENGE
- Read "Hearing His Voice" by David P. Homer in General Conference. It is super awesome and helped me realize how much Heavenly Father is reaching out to us and loves us!!
