YOU HAVE TO BE ADAMANTLY POSITIVE | 12.17.18

my subject line is a quote from a homeless man that we met in Downtown Garland. I really liked that idea and I think it is very true. Something that really helps me remain adamantly positive all the time is my knowledge that everything is working together for my good and the fact that there is no mistake I can make that can't be fixed through my Savior. Life, then, becomes much more simple and aligned.

"and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose" Romans 8:28

Also, I HAVE BEEN A MISSIONARY FOR 4 MONTHS? i feel really weird about that. My companion bought me cookies and cream ice cream in a waffle cone dipped in chocolate and coconut and we enjoyed it with our little pal.

I have a lot of things to catch up on today so this will be somewhat brief :-) (finally) (honestly will this end up still being a novel) (probably)

ASSORTED SNIPPETS OF ALL KINDS

- Nancy had us over for a dinner party and gift exchange!!! And she loves her book of Mormon sketchbook we made her and it has helped all of us understand the Book of Mormon more deeply

- played with baby kittens

- we taught primary!! it was TERRIFYING. controlling the energy of tiny kids is extremely difficult and a power struggle. All I have to say. But also a lot of them are very sweet souls.

- I love this ward!!! I feel like I am to the point where I know a lot of these people personally and I love learning more about their lives and giving the hermanas little cheek kisses. Sometimes when I am hugging someone who is not hispanic I will kiss their cheek accidentally also and I think they become very confused.

- I have been feeling very deep gratitude for my family. I am grateful, also, because I haven't been too homesick during this Christmas season!! I think that a little tender mercy from the Lord because I have been feeling a lot of unburdening love for them instead of feeling sad. I am happy to have a whole lot of love here for the holidays so I do not feel like I am missing out too much :)

- we started teaching the most amazing little family of honduraƱean boys. They are the most polite, loving, and tender little guys in the whole world. I love them so much. Their oldest brother, Julian, knew more about the bible than I did and he is 11. It was so legendary.

A challenge!!!!
Read Proverbs 15:23
And ponder the Lord's timing in your life. When is a time when the Lord has caused you to wait for a bit for something, but the waiting itself has made that thing even sweeter?
Does this question make sense?

I hope you all have an amazing Christmas!! I love you all very very much!!!

I live at 2854 Belt Line Road Garland, TX #293 75044
